STAYING CONNECTED: Wheeler’s Virtual Health Center

Wheeler has been monitoring the Coronavirus (COVID-19) closely since early January through the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), World Health Organization (WHO), and all of our various state and local health and education agencies. Each of these agencies has provided progressively more guidance for schools as they have learned more about the virus and its impact. In addition to sending communications from the Head of School to our families, this webpage offers resources for monitoring the latest information, for keeping your family as healthy as possible and to manage the understandable anxiety that our community may experience.

PREVENTION
We want to prevent the spread of all seasonal illnesses with the following precautions. To keep our community healthy and help prevent the spread of illness, please continue to follow these recommendations.

The CDC has posted a list of precautions to prevent the spread of coronavirus.

Access to the Wheeler Farm
Many have noticed that the Wheeler Farm fields in Seekonk, MA, have been marked closed to group use. While we work to abide by the serious CDC and Massachusetts health recommendations to maintain social distancing in all our communities, it has become increasingly difficult to monitor the growing numbers of people (from both our Wheeler community as well as the surrounding community) who are using the fields for gatherings, playdates, and team sports.

We are asking for the time being that everyone visiting the Farm use just our beautiful trails for walking at prescribed 6ft distances and NOT go on the fields for team games, playdates, group gatherings, and anything that risks the transmission of COVID-19.
