Wheeler Students Honored with 140+ Scholastic Art & Writing Awards

We are proud to share that Wheeler students received a remarkable amount of recognition in the regional round of the 2026 Scholastic Art & Writing Awards! With more than 140 awards across all categories, it was a record-breaking year for our school and our talented authors and artists.

The awards program, which was founded in 1923, is the nation’s longest-running and most prestigious recognition program for creative teens. Scholastic awards honor works that display originality, skill, and the emergence of a personal voice or vision. All entries are first considered regionally for Gold Key (GK), Silver Key (SK), and Honorable Mention (HM) awards. Gold Key-awarded entries are then considered for national awards that will be announced later this spring. Wheeler’s regional awardees include:
