Lower School Community Connections

Our school exists in a community, state, country, and world represented by a multitude of cultures and viewpoints. This important recognition prompted Lower School Science Teacher Julie Abodeeley and students to ask “How are we all connected?”

“We started our year exploring the connections between all people and things on Earth,” Abodeely says. “We read Everything is Connected by Jason Gruhl. (Ask your scientists about the blobfish!) Students created hexagons about their own families, backgrounds, and hobbies. This project helped us create a community across the lower school in which we share experiences, interests, and our loves…the very things that connect us all.”
