Four Wheeler Seniors Awarded National Merit Scholarships

June 19, 2023

We are pleased to share that Harry F. ’23, Daniel H. ’23, Rohan J. ’23, and Anna M. ’23 have all been awarded National Merit Scholarships! As you may remember from our story earlier this school year on the 10 Wheeler students who were selected as semifinalists, National Merit Scholarship Program candidates are initially selected based on their performance on the Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test when they are high school juniors. To continue in the competition, semifinalists submit a detailed scholarship application that includes information about their academic record, participation in school and community activities, demonstrated leadership abilities, employment, and honors and awards they’ve received. Harry, Daniel, Rohan, and Anna are four of the approximately 7,000 students selected to receive National Merit Scholarships.

After graduating from Wheeler in June, Harry will attend Washington University in St. Louis this fall, where he plans to study Computer Science, Statistics, and/or Data Science, Daniel will head to Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service, where he intends to major in International Economics, Rohan will study Mechanical Engineering and Design at Northeastern, and Anna will attend Pomona College, where she intends to major in Biology. Congratulations to all!
