“Consistent with the mission of our office to help students and families identify great academic, financial, and personal ‘fits’ as they approach the college application process, we are delighted by the list of schools that have offered admission to our seniors,” said Director of College Counseling Amy Baumgartel Singer ’89, P’20, P’24; Co-Director of College Counseling Michael J. Geller; and Associate Director of College Counseling Ann Sexton Foye. “The list is a terrific representation of the diversity of options available to our students: large schools, small schools, business schools, art schools, nursing programs, schools that are near and far; they all speak to the many different interests and talents of the Class of 2024.

“Each acceptance represents the hard work of our seniors and their families and reflects their many contributions and engagement while at Wheeler and throughout the college search and application process itself,” they added. “We are excited that every senior has great options from which to choose, whether they received their news in December or more recently. All our students are now able to truly envision how they will use their powers in their next chapter following Commencement.”

Ms. Singer, Mr. Geller, and Ms. Foye, along with Student Support Coordinator Rose Phildor P’28 and College Counseling Administrative Assistant Dana Watkins P’19, noted their pride in all of the students who managed the significant task of applying to college, with enthusiasm and determination, alongside their academic work and extracurricular activities. “At this time of year, we also feel a deep sense of gratitude for the presence of these students on our campus and recognize that we are already beginning to miss them!

“In addition, we are very grateful for the work of our colleagues who taught, advised, and wrote recommendations for these seniors while also providing them with encouragement throughout their final year at Wheeler.”

Congratulations to all of our seniors, their faculty, and the College Counseling team for this incredible list of acceptances!
