Cause for a Camp Celebration: Wheeler Summer Receives National Accreditation from the American Camp Association

We are happy to share that Wheeler Summer Camp has received its first-ever accreditation through the American Camp Association (ACA)! To be recognized with ACA accreditation, a camp must go through a comprehensive review of up to 266 standards focused on areas from staff qualifications and training to emergency management. American Camp Association collaborates with experts from the American Academy of Pediatrics, the American Red Cross, and other youth-serving agencies to ensure that current practices at the camp reflect the most up-to-date, research-based standards in camp operation.

From the onset, our team set out to meet rigorous standards, ensuring that every aspect of Wheeler Summer Camp’s offerings adhered to the highest benchmarks of safety, quality, and excellence.
