Due to the uncertainty of the impact of COVID-19, The Famous Wheeler Clothing & More Sale will not proceed as scheduled for the 2020-2021 school year. We value the participation and contributions of the Wheeler School community, and the wider community, to the long-term success of this event, and we are providing suggested alternative options for your donations this year. We are partnering with local organizations for donations of gently used or new clothing that would have otherwise been donated to the Famous Wheeler Clothing & More Sale.

For ’20-’21, we’re taking our donated items to various organizations around Rhode Island! Read about them below!
provides school children ages 5 – 21 in grades K – 12 & GED with a full wardrobe of clothing free of charge. for accepted items and consider dropping your donation off to Clothes To Kids RI at 77 Reservoir Avenue #5, Providence, RI 02907 during their business hours.
has a new collection bin Wheeler is hosting in its faculty/staff parking lot, across the street from the main entrance to the school. for the location of the bin (marked with a red X). We have a profit-sharing partnership with BBBS, benefiting their organization, as well as the Wheeler Fund and Breakthrough Providence, the usual recipients of profits from our Clothing Sale. Below is a flyer on acceptable items and a tax receipt form.

This ever-popular and much-anticipated East Side event has been benefiting the New England community and supporting education since 1948. Wheeler’s Clothing & More Sale transforms the Madden gym into a 2-day, pop-up retail store with gently-worn and brand new clothing for men, women, and children, plus sporting goods, books, and household items, in the Housewares department, and designer wear in our famous Boutique section.
Net proceeds support the as well as , a program for low-income, academically-motivated middle school students in the Providence public schools.
