Due to the far-reaching impacts of COVID-19 and the challenges it has created for an equitable educational as well as testing experience for all applicants, we shall be suspending the standardized test requirement for the 2022-2023 admission cycle. We are committed to supporting our families through the enrollment process and will continue to review applications while ensuring all students are considered in a student-focused, holistic and equitable fashion. Enrollment is based on many factors such as academic performance, extracurricular activities, and community engagement. Transcripts, teacher recommendations, parent/guardian and student statements as well as the student interview will remain as required elements of the application. In addition, a writing sample and graded essay will be required. Standardized testing is not required for any grade during this enrollment season.

  • Please fill out the writing sample provided in the Wheeler Enrollment Portal. We ask that students complete this on their own without receiving assistance from a peer or adult. This writing sample is not only helpful for admissions but also for class placement for enrolled students so an honest depiction of a student’s work is paramount.

Submit transcripts that include grades for the past 2.5 years. The Transcript Release Form can be found here.
