Chili Tasting Cook-off 2025

Calling all chili champions! The Family Association is hosting its FIRST annual Chili Cook-Off, and we want you and your family to show off your secret recipe!

Join us during Fall Fest, as part of Wheeler’s Homecoming & Reunion Weekend, to see who makes the best chili at Wheeler. Whether it’s spicy, sweet, meaty, or vegetarian—if your family has a special chili, share it at Fall Fest!

Here’s how it works:

• Sign up here as a Chili Cook-Off Chef
• Cook and bring at least 1.5 gallons of your homemade chili in a slow cooker or insulated container (labeled with any allergen ingredients)
• Community members will sample a taste of each chili and vote for their favorites
• The chili with the most votes in each category (Best Overall, Most Unique, Kid Favorite) wins a prize and bragging rights for the year!

All members of the community—alumni, students, families, staff and faculty—are welcome to register, but space IS limited to up to 10 chili recipes. Free t-shirts go to the first 50 registrants of all Fall Fest events!
