A Community Celebration: 2021 Multicultural Performance Showcase

Students throughout The Wheeler School offered up vibrant song and dance on a global scale during the ninth annual Multicultural Performance Showcase, held in Isenberg Auditorium on Friday. The event, emceed by Monique Pond ’24 and Leenah Gibbs ‘23 and later by Sydney Jaiswal ‘22 and Mateo Smith ‘23, gave the audience a chance to enjoy performances reflecting cultures from across the world, including Chinese, Indian, Colombian, Irish, Jewish, Korean, Ghanaian, Malian, Lebanese, and others. Director of Unity & Diversity Princess Sirleaf Bomba thanked students, families, faculty, and staff for making the event a success. “We have so much gratitude and love for the many hearts and hands who helped make our ninth Showcase a successful celebration,” she said. “It is our rich diversity which makes Wheeler a stronger, more united community.
