The Wheeler School Public Art Initiative began in 2007 (through the support of former trustee Dr. Joseph Chazan) as a means to add dimension to the visual landscape of Wheeler's two campuses through a variety of works by nationally-known artists. To date, eight works have been commissioned which have helped create conversations on the Wheeler campus about art and aesthetics while making more art accessible to the public who visit or travel past Wheeler's Providence and Farm campuses.
