  • Congratulations Class of 2018

We are delighted to share the list of colleges who have accepted at least one member of this year's senior class. We are so very proud of all these students and their individual and shared accomplishments over the past four (or more!) years on our campus. No matter where they choose to set down their bags next fall, we know they will carry on the long tradition of Wheeler graduates by sharing their strong sense of compassion and citizenship for each other and the world around them  Wheeler College Counseling Office.

  • Wheeler teacher Ken Clauser

Ken Clauser Is 2018 Graduation Speaker

Wheeler is proud to announce that Spanish language teacher Ken Clauser, who is retiring from Wheeler this school year, will deliver the commencement address to the Class of 2018, their families and guests, this June 8 at The Wheeler Farm.

Clauser has taught Spanish for 50 years and has been a member of the Wheeler Modern Language faculty since 1981. During that time, he was Department Chair and led a committee that introduced a Chinese language program to Wheeler. He served on the Search Committees that resulted in Young Un’s appointment as Head of the Middle School, in Neeltje Henneman’s selection as Head of Upper School and in Dan Miller’s appointment as Head of School. He holds a degree in Spanish Literature from Boston College’s Graduate School and studied abroad at La Universidad de Valencia. Before teaching at Wheeler, he helped run the Cabot Street Theater, a summer theater that performed in Wheeler Hall. For more than 30 years, he has sung in the quartet at Temple Beth El and currently serves on the board that plans the fundraising event for UCAP (Urban Collaborative Accelerated Program) in Providence.
