Alumni Volunteer Opportunities

Get Involved with Wheeler!
The strength and excellence of the Wheeler community lies in the spirit, involvement and enthusiasm of our faculty, students, parents, and yes, our alumni. If you would like to share your talent, ideas and energies with your alma mater, here are some ways to do it: Contact the Alumni Relations Office for information.

Alumni Board Committees
Wherever you reside you can be involved in helping the Alumni Association meet its goal of reaching out to more alumni by becoming involved in volunteer opportunities. The current standing committees of the Alumni Board are:
Alumni Giving
Alumni Outreach
Reunion & Alumni Day

In addition, the Alumni Board plans events or develops new initiatives that require volunteers. In the past they have planned events such as Apres Wheeler's All-Alumni Party and coordinated an Alumni-Student Roundtable Lunch for our juniors and seniors during Alumni Day & Reunion Weekend.

Into the Classroom
If you’d like to share your professional expertise with current students let us know. We bring alumni into the classroom and host roundtable discussions at various times throughout the year.

Regional Event Hosts
If you’d like to host an event in your home, or at a club you belong to, we would love your help when Wheeler goes ‘on the road’.  In addition, we need your help with outreach to our 'global' alumni community. If you can reach out to 3-5 alumni in your area to encourage attendance at Wheeler events let us know.

Class Agents
Agents are needed for each graduating class. As an agent you would contact fellow classmates to ask for support of Wheeler’s Annual Fund, and to update them on Wheeler news.

Reunion Volunteers
It’s not too early to start thinking about your next reunion — who you would like to see and how you want to celebrate. Reunion is a special time and there are big roles and small roles. If you can contact your friends to encourage attendance or plan an event, your class needs you.
