Parent Visit

After The Admissions Committee has reviewed a child's evaluation, the parents will be contacted either to arrange a meeting so we can move forward in the admission process or to explain why we believe the applicant may not be a good match for Hamilton.  Typically, the parent meetings last from an hour to an hour and a half and are held in the Admissions Office at Wheeler.  Usually, the meetings are held with the Director of Admissions and the Hamilton Director.  We encourage both parents to attend this meeting, whenever possible.

These meetings are good opportunities for parents to ask questions about the school and for school officials to ask clarifying questions about the applicant.  Often there may be some aspect of the diagnosis that needs further discussion, or possibly further testing.  Usually at the conclusion of the meeting a decision is made whether to proceed with the admissions process.  If the process continues, the parents are invited to schedule a student visit.
