After School Care and Summer Camp
The goal of Wheeler’s After School Program is to provide students with a meaningful and dynamic extension of their school day in a safe, comfortable and familiar environment
Overview
The goal of Wheeler’s After School Program is to provide Lower School and Hamilton Lower School students with a meaningful and dynamic extension of their school day in a safe, comfortable, and familiar environment. The program philosophy is one that is both structured and play-based, able to meet the needs of anyone in our community. This socially, intellectually stimulating, and well-supervised experience supports learning opportunities, new friendships, and social development in a vibrant and lively environment.
NOTE: Due to the pandemic, changes will be made for SY ’21-’22 to provide the best risk mitigation for all Auxiliary Programs. Information on this page will be updated and more details will be made available to families before the start of the school year.
Options for families
Two daily options to choose from: Traditional After School Care, otherwise known as WOW, and/or Enrichment Programs, each option has daily offerings, flexibility, and its own fee structure. Both options begin at the end of your child’s school day and conclude around 4:30 pm. For families who need to extend their student’s day to 5:30 pm, we offer the Extended Care Option. A daily snack is provided upon arrival to all students.
Our Fall, Winter, and Spring trimesters align with the Wheeler and Hamilton Lower School academic calendar offering an after school option every day school is in session.
In addition to after school, additional care is offered on some days when school is not in session; Conference Care Days, Faculty Professional Development Days and Vacation Camps!
